Strengthen your business with a Team Strategy Session
Near the end of 2021 I designed & facilitated a 2021-2022 Team Strategy Session for Hybrid Collective.
This workshop served as a 2021 retrospective and a 2022 vision + strategy session.
Hybrid collective is led by founder Susan Monroe. This female-led team of diverse editors and artist create commercial advertising, branded content, and soon will expand into feature film editing!
Susan hired me as her executive coach and brought me in to create a workshop that would allow her to have CLARITY:
for the direction of the NEW Hybrid (one where she steps back into her editing zone of genius and her team leads strategy and sales)
for who should (and should not) be on the team
of the exact roles that need to be filled
on the direction of Hybrid and to ensure her team is aligned on the goals, vision, and direction of the new Hybrid Collective
In just 8 hours we:
✓ Gave the entire team the opportunity to envision and create their personal goals for 2022
✓ Shared company goals for 2022 *and* 2023
✓ Created Hybrid’s “North Star” Goal
✓ Identified key questions for reaching the North Star
✓ Identified team strengths + weakness
✓ Generated actionable solutions to improve team weaknesses
✓ Chose the strongest 3 solutions to take action on NOW
✓ Created an action plan that took effect immediately
✓ Identified what each member needs to succeed + a plan for senior leadership team support
✓ Brainstormed sources of new potential revenue streams
✓ Scaled the effort + impact of potential revenue generating activities
✓ Voted, chose, and created an immediate plan of action to increase revenue
✓ Closed with a ritual ceremony celebrating the NEW Hybrid Collective.
Discover how team strategy workshops can help you scale with ease.
Here’s what Susan said of her experience:
Did the workshop meet your expectations?
No. It exceeded my expectations! I enjoyed the entire workshop. I loved it!
What did you enjoy most about your workshop?
It was great to share and receive praise. I loved the “love letters” exercise.
What is your greatest personal take away?
My greatest personal take away was really using the post-its as a skill set. When I get overwhelmed I can use the post-it exercise to really hone in and help provide direction.
What was your greatest business take away from the experience?
My greatest business take away was to be able to create a North Star that the Hybrid team felt that they collaborated in and are invested in.
What clarity do you have now that you did not have before the workshop?
I have clarity on who I want to be on the Hybrid team. How individuals worked in the workshop helped provide clarity of the type of person that I need to add to the team when we expand.
I have clarity on the direction of Hybrid and that the team wants the same goal for Hybrid.
What will you be able to do now as a result of your workshop?
Based on the workshop, Hybrid has created weekly team meetings with agendas.
We have a baseline for our personal and professional goals and as a team we can keep each other
accountable both personally and professionally and I think this brings great team building.
What did you discover about your team that surprised you?
I discovered how willing my team was willing to be open and vulnerable to the process.
They were both willing to share very personal and probably not said out loud to anyone so felt very
honored that they felt that they were in a safe place. This very much has to do with the workshop you created.
Did your team have any feedback about the workshop?
Yes, the team very much loved the workshop. They really appreciated the process and what they learned about themselves.
Are you interested in doing future workshops?
YES AND YES, PLEASE!
How would you describe this workshop?
I would say to a colleague: I have a great secret to energize your company. If you want to make a shift with your company and become more aware of how your
team works and how to inspire them, and how to create clear and inspired goals this is a must have workshop.
